Daniel Graham and Adam Carruthers are to be sentenced for two counts of criminal damage each relating to the tree and Hadrian's Wall.

As two men are jailed for felling the tree which once stood tall in the Gap, people living in the town tell the BBC about the damage done.

The Northumberland National Park Authority said the site was its "most-photographed spot", and in late 2016 it was crowned English Tree of the Year in the Woodland Trust's awards.
