Allen was named one of the four players listed to the Pro Football Hall of Fame class of 2025. He joined the likes of Green Bay Packers receiver Sterling Sharpe, Minnesota Vikings All-Pro Jared Allen, and San Diego Chargers tight end Antonio Gates.

Eric Allen, 59, spent seven seasons in Philadelphia after being drafted in 1988 by the Eagles in the second round. He made an immediate impact, tallying five interceptions as a rookie and another eight in 1989, earning the first of his six Pro Bowl nods as well as an All-Pro selection.

The wait is finally over for Philadelphia Eagles legend Eric Allen. The NFL announced today that the dynamic cornerback who helped define the legendary "Gang Green" defense of the late 1980s and early 1990s will be enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2025.

Four new NFL legends are headed to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Former defensive end Jared Allen, former Green Bay Packers wide receiver Sterling Sharpe, former cornerback Eric Allen and former San Diego/Los Angeles Chargers tight end Antonio Gates all got the call that they will be getting their gold jackets.

The Raiders organization will have another member heading into the Hall of Fame. Former Oakland Raiders defensive back Eric Allen will be part of the 2025 Pro Football Hall of Fame class.
