Former LSU Heisman winners Joe Burrow and Jayden Daniels shared a heartfelt postgame hug after their NFL preseason clash

At the urging of veteran linebacker Bobby Wagner, Daniels dug deep into his own game over the offseason. Now he's putting it to use.

Daniels, a San Bernardino, California, native who transferred to LSU from Arizona State in 2022, has led the nation in total offense this season with 4,946 yards in 12 games (412.2 yards per game).

The good news for the Tigers is that they have one of the best quarterbacks in the country and a Heisman Trophy contender in Garrett Nussmeier, who is returning after a stellar season in 2024, when he took over for number two NFL draft pick Jayden Daniels.
