Tropical Storm Lorena is bringing dangerous flooding, wind and heavy surf to Mexico, while parts of the U.S. Southwest may face flooding depending on the storm and other factors.

Tropical Storm Lorena is churning in the Pacific, bringing the possibility of life-threatening conditions and other hazards to parts of Mexico. Parts of the southwestern U.S. could also see some impacts from the storm, which was previously a hurricane.

Lorena is expected to weaken but the exact location and severity of Kiko’s impacts will be known around the middle part of next week
