Thousands of people are expected to take to the streets in New York and New Jersey this weekend for the return of the “No Kings” march. The demonstrations, which took off nationwide in June, are billed as a nonviolent protest against the Trump Administration,
The protest is part of a national day of action called “Return of No Kings,” spearheaded by the national Indivisible movement. Organizers said it’s aimed at defending democratic norms and pushing back against what they see as authoritarian tendencies of the Trump administration.
Once the shouting is over and the signs discarded, the Democrats will be no closer to producing an agenda that can win elections.
Protests against the Trump administration are planned at more than 20 locations between Glens Falls and Ossining.
"The anger level is way higher" than it was earlier this year, which will drive up turnout, organizer says. GOP accuses protesters of hating America.
