Shilo Sanders' NFL journey now includes an unplanned foray into free agency ahead of the 2025 season. His agents, Drew Rosenhaus and Robert Bailey, confirmed to ESPN's Adam Schefter the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are waiving him ahead of Tuesday's 4 p.m. ET roster deadline.

According to a report from NFL insider Jordan Schultz, Tampa Bay has decided to waive Sanders. He has officially not made the roster and will look to land with another team before the start of the regular season. It's a tough break for Sanders. Unfortunately, he just didn't do enough to make the team.

The Buccaneers cut Sanders on Sunday afternoon, one day after officials ejected him following a brief altercation with Buffalo Bills tight end Zach Davidson. Sanders, an undrafted rookie who played for his father at Colorado, threw a second-quarter punch that head coach Todd Bowles called “inexcusable.”
