The New York Giants appear to have tipped their trick play at the goal line against the Washington Commanders in Week 1.
Washington’s defense smothered Russell Wilson and the New York Giants offense, and Jayden Daniels was efficient, if unspectacular, in throwing for 233 yards and a touchdown as the Commanders began their season with a 21-6 victory at home on Sunday.
In an X post on Wednesday, the Commanders revealed Croskey-Merritt made history, saying “@JacoryMerritt15 is the first player in NFL history selected 200th or later to have 75+ rush yds & 1+ rush TD in his NFL debut.”
