The Trump administration's objective is to send groups of unauthorized migrants from the U.S. mainland to Guantanamo each day, using military aircraft to airlift and relocate detainees.

The American Civil Liberties Union on Friday demanded access to migrants flown by the U.S. military to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, saying the Trump administration has provided virtually no information about the migrants and that the detentions raise questions about violations of U.

Human rights groups have accused U.S. authorities of using Guantánamo Bay for decades to detain migrants fleeing Haiti, Cuba and other Caribbean nations.
