In 2005, Jehovah’s Witnesses began work translating the Bible book of Matthew into ASL and announced that additional books would be made available as they were completed.
It took Deaf Missions Ministry and their partners 39 years to complete the translation, and it took the Jehovah's Witnesses 15 years to put together the New World Translation of the Bible.
The result is an accurate, clear, and meaningful sign language translation. Jehovah’s Witnesses now offer Bible-based content in over 1,000 languages on jw.org.
