HIGH POINT, N.C. — Firefighters worked on a structure fire at Oak Hill Elementary School in High Point on Monday afternoon, according to the High Point Fire Department.

Anderson School District One's school board chose a name for the new elementary school, which will be located at 250 Oak Road in Piedmont.

Elizabeth Brassfield, Sussanna Hardaway, and Yvonne Turner have taught in the same 5th-grade pod at Oak Hill Elementary in Overland Park for two decades.
