JPMorgan Chase is strictly limiting the debit card use of shoppers who used Chase debit cards at Target during the data breach that happened Nov. 27 to Dec. 15.

Nearly any type of credit and debit card used for purchases at the store during the 19-day period was affected, including Target's own Redcard debit and credit cards.

“Target knew, or should have known, of the risks inherent in collecting and storing the personal and financial information of shoppers using credit and debit cards,” the banks’ complaint said.
