Voters are deciding if the South Texas home of Elon Musk’s rocket company SpaceX will become an official city known as Starbase

A 9-foot tall bust of Elon Musk, inspired by the meme “Elon I Drew You / You Are My Hero, Elon”, stands off of Boca Chica Boulevard in Brownsville, Texas, where the tech billionaire is looking to incorporate his first company town.

Hendrick Motorsports has been the standout in recent years, winning three of the last four trips to Texas with three different drivers (Larson, Byron and Elliott). Byron's 11.2 average finish is the best among drivers with at least 10 Texas starts and Larson's 525 laps led is third-best. Elliott, meanwhile, is the defending race winner.

The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series returns to the track with the SpeedyCash.com 250 race on May 2 at Texas Motor Speedway. The Truck Series enters its busiest part of the 2025 schedule, with the Texas race starting a run of six weeks of Truck Races in a row.

NASCAR fans will soon have a chance to see several races in Fort Worth. The NASCAR Cup Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series and NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series will arrive at the Texas Motor Speedway beginning May 2 through May 4.
