CLEVELAND, Ohio — Two tickets, one sold in Texas and the other in Missouri, matched the winning numbers in the drawing for a $1.8 billion Powerball jackpot Saturday, so the Mega Millions prize is now the top lottery prize. The Sept. 6, 2025, Powerball numbers are 11-23-44-61-62 Powerball 17 Power Play 2x. The Monday, Sept. 8 jackpot is $20 million.

Powerball players in Missouri and Texas have won the nearly $1.8 billion jackpot, overcoming astronomical odds to end the lottery game’s three-month drought without a big winner.

The estimated Powerball jackpot has grown to $1.8 billion, the second-largest lottery prize ever in the United States, ahead of the 11 p.m. EDT drawing on Saturday.

Edwin Castro of Altadena, California, is the sole winner of $2.04 billion Powerball drawing in November 2022. He opted for lump sum of $997.6 million.

The prize, which was the second-largest US lottery jackpot in history, followed 41 consecutive drawings in which no one matched all six numbers.

The final remaining top-prize $200,000 ticket in the scratch-off lottery game was won last week in Sussex County.
