The Powerball jackpot has only exceeded $1 billion 13 times in U.S. history. It happened on Saturday, Aug. 30, 2025, but no one won the big prize, although the drawing produced several new millionaires.

A Powerball ticket sold in Pensacola, Florida, wins $1 million prize in Sept. 1 drawing. There were some winners in the Labor Day Powerball drawing but the $1.1 billion jackpot remains unclaimed and will continue to grow.
