Another round of showers and thunderstorms moved across the Mid-Atlantic Tuesday after intense rain set off dangerous flash flooding from Virginia to New York on Monday, leaving at least two dead and prompting dozens of rescues as water overwhelmed roads and subways.

Strong, to severe, storms will organize over western Maryland late this afternoon and sweep eastward through the evening hours. The stormiest weather is expected to occur between 5 and 10 p.m. A few thunderstorms may become severe and produce damaging wind gusts up to 65 MPH.
