The actress who portrayed Dr. Collins in Season 1 announced last week that she would not be returning to the HBO Max drama but said “what a blessing” to participate. She called it an “absolute privilege to play Dr. Heather Collins in such a groundbreaking season and piece.”
The Pitt never gave Dr. Collins the meaty material other characters enjoyed, nor did it include her in the show’s most dynamic arc.

After suffering a miscarriage earlier in their shift together, Episode 11 of The Pitt showed Dr. Collins confiding in Dr. Robby. To help her better cope, the ER doctor gave Dr. Collins permission to clock out early and turn off her phone, and that was the last time we saw her.
HBO Max’s hit The Pitt earned 13 nominations on Tuesday, including nods for Outstanding Drama and Outstanding Actor for Noah Wyle. The freshman drama also logged nominations for supporting actress (Katherine LaNasa), guest actor (Shawn Hatosy), directing (John Wells and Amanda Marsalis) and casting.
