An Israeli group representing families of hostages held by Hamas says the remains of all four hostages returned early Thursday have been identified. Hamas says it is ready to negotiate the next phase of the cease-fire.

After six weeks of calm in Gaza, Israel and Hamas would be under enormous pressure not to resume fighting. Negotiations over phase two would be hard—but they would happen. That was the idea, at least.
