Duolingo more than doubled its offerings of language courses to help people learn a second language and become multilingual with the help of generative artificial intelligence.

The edtech giant launched 148 new classes developed by generative AI as it phases out contract roles and accelerates course creation.

Following the CEO’s announcement that Duolingo would be ‘AI-first,’ the company is launching 148 new language courses. Duolingo is “more than doubling” the number of courses it has available, a feat it says was only possible because it used generative AI to help create them in “less than a year.”
