A 25-year-old woman from Florida gave birth on a W train in Midtown Manhattan on Wednesday morning. She had been missing since last summer, her sister said.

The New York City subway was introduced to its youngest new passenger on Wednesday, when a woman gave birth to a baby girl in a train car.

A woman gave birth on board a New York City subway Wednesday, the MTA says. It happened around 11:30 a.m. on a southbound W train in Manhattan. According to the MTA, multiple passengers alerted the conductor that a woman inside a train car had just given birth.
