India is facing widespread disruption due to intense monsoon rains. Cities are flooded, transport is crippled and landslides are devastating hilly regions, especially Himachal Pradesh.

The Southwest Monsoon has been vigorous over east Rajasthan and active over west Madhya Pradesh, Marathwada, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, India Meteorological Department (IMD) said today.
