Nickelodeon has greenlit an animated series set in the world of its beloved Avatar: The Last Airbender. The new show, titled Avatar: Seven Havens, has a 26-episode order and will follow a new Avatar. The series will be the third in the Avatar -verse, following the original show and The Legend of Korra .

The Last Airbender will continue with Avatar: Seven Havens, a new 26-episode, 2D-animated series at Nickelodeon.

The exciting news comes as Nickelodeon celebrates the 20th anniversary of the original Avatar: The Last Airbender, which first premiered February 21, 2005.

Avatar: The Last Airbender is getting another sequel from original creators Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko. In honor of the series' 20th anniversary, Nickelodeon announced the franchise's next series,

We’re getting more new Avatar: The Last Airbender — beyond just the live-action Netflix adaptation, of course.

According to the announcement, MTG Avatar: The Last Airbender will be hitting shelves on November 21. It's unclear what the set will involve in terms of products, but we can probably expect something similar to the Assassin's Creed crossover last year. (Play and Collector boosters at a minimum, in other words.)

But tucked away at the end was a little treat for fans of the Universes Beyond crossovers—the announcement of an Avatar: The Last Airbender set, due in November this year. Now I'm a bit too old to know much about Avatar: The Last Airbender except that it's got nothing to do with James Cameron's Avatar and also we don't talk about the M.

The Last Airbender because I have A LOT of thoughts. I'm a huge Avatar: The Last Airbender fan. I'm always the first person to recommend the show to anyone who hasn't seen it. I stayed up and binged the new live-action series and enjoyed every bit of it -- even the changes the Netflix show made.
