Former Texas stars Moro Ojomo and Andrew Mukuba had memorable NFL openers: Ojomo played a lot because of Jalen Carter's ejection and Mukuba started as a rookie.

The NFL opener between the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles and NFC East rival Dallas Cowboys was guaranteed to have celebreties on the field or in the luxury boxes. The biggest celebrity at The Linc was the guest of Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts. Michael Jordan was in The Linc for the opener.

A coin-flip of a game went the way of the defending champs, thanks in part to dropped passes by receiver CeeDee Lamb and a critical turnover late in the third quarter by the Cowboys, who showed some encouraging signs in Game 1 under coach Brian Schottenheimer. Carter and the Eagles, meanwhile, can breathe a sigh of relief after a rocky start.

Micah Parsons' mom certainly knows her son is a Green Bay Packer and not a Dallas Cowboy. After Parsons was traded to the Packers from the Cowboys on Aug. 28 in a move heard around the NFL, the four-time Pro Bowl defensive end had the sweetest embrace with his mom.

The Dallas Cowboys had a great opportunity to upset the Philadelphia Eagles, but their Week 1 promises fell short thanks to CeeDee Lamb.
