Washington — Democrats on the House Oversight Committee on Monday released a birthday message allegedly written by President Trump to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein for his 50th birthday. The president has denied penning the message, which includes what appears to be the outline of a woman's body.
The GOP-led House Oversight Committee says it has obtained documents and communications from the Jeffrey Epstein estate on Monday -- including the Epstein "birthday book," which is said to contain the letter that President Donald Trump allegedly signed for Epstein's 50th birthday in 2003.
White House deputy chief of staff Taylor Budowich said the note, included in a batch of Epstein documents made public, should help Trump because "it’s not his signature."
Epstein accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell, who is serving a 20-year prison sentence for her role in Epstein's crimes, in a July 24 interview with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, said she didn’t recall Trump submitting anything for the Epstein birthday book.
The Oversight Committee released files turned over by Jeffrey Epstein’s estate, including a copy of a sexually suggestive note apparently signed by President Trump.
