An updated flood watch was issued by the NWS San Diego CA on Monday at 8:58 p.m. in effect until Thursday at 6 p.m. The watch is for San Diego County Coastal Areas, San Bernardino and Riverside County Valleys-The Inland Empire,

Los Angeles County is under a flood watch which was issued by the National Weather Service on Monday at 12:33 p.m. The watch is valid from Wednesday 6 p.m. until Thursday, Mar. 13 at 6 p.m.

Flood watches are in effect for most of L.A. County, with the possibility for flooding across the area. Schoenfeld said there’s a 30% to 50% chance of major flooding impacts in burn scar areas with concerns for mudslides, road erosion, debris flows and cars being stuck in mud.

The storm is expected to dump 1 to 2 inches of rain along the coast and up to 4 inches in the valleys at rates that could cause problems. Some roads will be closed starting Wednesday.
