Tropical Storm Kajiki killed three people in Vietnam after it made landfall as a powerful typhoon on Monday, unleashing dangerous winds and prompting authorities to evacuate tens of thousands of residents as it surged through the country’s central provinces.

Typhoon Kajiki killed at least three people and injured 10 others in Vietnam, authorities said on Tuesday as they warned that heavy rains could cause flooding and landslides.

More than 300,000 people have been told to evacuate as Typhoon Kajiki moved across a wide area between Hanoi and Da Nang.
