Rookie Bo Nix won the Denver Broncos quarterback competition last season. The former Pinson Valley High School and Auburn standout then started every game for the Broncos as Denver went to the NFL playoffs for the first time since the 2015 season. Jarrett Stidham spent the season as Nix’s backup, played 14 snaps and did not throw a pass.

According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Broncos are re-signing backup quarterback Jarrett Stidham. Rapoport is also reporting that Denver is giving Stidham a two-year deal, $12 million deal with $7 million guaranteed.

Nix most recently got an impressive accolade, in which he was selected as one of the Senior Bowl's 2025 Rookies of the Year. Ladd McConkey of the Los Angeles Chargers and Braden Fiske of the Los Angeles Rams also received the honor.
