A new theory from Reddit user Our_Warm_Opal suggests an interesting possibility — The Client could really be a cover for the infamous Jedi Master named Sifo-Dyas.

In his early twenties, Dooku was already capable of executing the Force Lightning attack to combat enemies, and defeated an equally legendary Jedi in Sifo-Dyas with one hand and no vision.

This erosion pushes Jedi Master Sifo-Dyas to secretly create a clone army for protecting the Republic — a decision that the Jedi leadership vehemently reject.

“The Lost One” finally tackled this story, as the discovery of Sifo-Dyas’ ship and lightsaber leads the Jedi to investigate how he actually died and his involvement in the Clone Trooper project.

We may think we want complicated backstory, but think back to Master Sifo-Dyas and trade blockades, and you might think again. The prequels gave us the minutiae we thought we wanted, and it was lousy.
