Brave New World is almost upon us, and fans are eagerly awaiting to see how the film expands upon the ever-growing Marvel Cinematic Universe. While the plot is still very much a secret, what’s been confirmed so far is pretty intriguing.

The second film in the MCU has rarely factored into the universe as a whole, beyond William Hurt’s Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross making recurring appearances in later films. That changes with Captain America: Brave New World, which will see Liv Tyler and Tim Blake Nelson reprise their roles as Betty Ross and Samuel Sterns/Leader, respectively.

Director Julius Onah has confirmed that the upcoming Captain America 4 will introduce the rare metal Adamantium into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, setting the stage for Wolverine’s origin story in the future.
