Austin police say a man was shot in the foot after refusing to give another man his French Bulldog in East Austin.

Two people on a scooter stole a pet bulldog on Wednesday in Dorchester, police said. The owners of the French bulldog, named Bodega, last saw it playing in their yard. The dog wandered from the area around 4:30 p.m. and was picked up by a pair on a scooter, police said.
