The Hostages and Missing Families Forum, an umbrella group representing Israeli families of hostages seized in Hamas’s attack on Oct. 7, 2023, rallied outside the prime minister’s Jerusalem residence Tuesday morning to protest an expanding offensive that could risk Israeli lives.

There has been a focus on multi-story buildings that have been converted into terrorist infrastructure. The IDF has struck over 500 military targets over the past week in Gaza City, the military said Friday.

Palestinians were forced to evacuate to the southern Gaza Strip ahead of the Israeli ground offensive as strikes and explosions continued across Gaza City on Friday.

Gaza City has been filled with so many tents because it was one of the few areas of the enclave that was still accessible to Gazans. Most of Gaza has been under evacuation orders or part of an Israeli militarized zone.
