Kirk started the conservative activist organization Turning Point USA, which has a chapter at Winthrop University.
Kirk made visits to all three of Arizona's major public university campuses — Northern Arizona University, Arizona State University and the University of Arizona — as well as GCU, most recently in fall 2024 for the "You're Being Brainwashed" tour. Kirk also attended voter registration events across Arizona college campuses.
Kirk, who was the co-founder and CEO of Turning Point USA, was able to set up his family — wife, Erika, and two young children — to be financially stable before his death with an estimated net worth of $12 million, according to ValueWalk.
Turning Point has released a statement, a day after political activist Charlie Kirk was shot dead during a campus event.
The students plan to meet with Turning Point USA about creating a chapter at Vanderbilt, and then set up a meeting with school administration.
