The New York Giants, Cleveland Browns and Indianapolis Colts have decided on their quarterback battles, leaving just the New Orleans Saints to name a starting signal-caller.  This appears to be a tight race between second-year pro Spencer Rattler and rookie Tyler Shough.

The Saints are taking their quarterback decision down to the wire, with coach Kellen Moore saying they want to continue the competition between Tyler Shough and Spencer Rattler through next week.

Rattler is a former top collegiate prospect whose draft stock plummeted late in his NCAA career. He ended up making seven appearances and six starts for the Saints in 2024, throwing for 1,317 yards, four touchdowns and five interceptions while completing 57 percent of his passes. Not great.
