Dozens of city crews and contractors have been working around the clock to repair damaged homes and appliances.

The water pipes are repaired in the Southwest Detroit neighborhood that just weeks ago was frozen in floodwaters from a 54-inch water main break. As of Wednesday, repairs were completed on the Great Lakes Water Authority’s 93-year-old water transmission main.

The 54-inch and six-inch damaged water mains in Southwest Detroit have been repaired. Full restoration efforts are still underway.
