The Philadelphia Eagles signed veteran edge rusher Za'Darius Smith to a very reasonable one-year contract on Friday. And, in the process, it made the Detroit Lions' decision not to re-sign him look even worse.

First things first. He'll need a new number. The Number 99 jersey he wore for the Detroit Lions is retired in the City of Brotherly Love. That belonged to the late, great Jerome Brown, but regardless of what jersey number Smith chooses, you'll see plenty in the seats at Lincoln Financial Field if he balls out.
